Program Design

ELI is designed to provide a comprehensive Enterprise view of University of Tennessee.  At each campus or institute visit, participants will learn about the campus/institute history, its strengths and strategy, and its challenges and strategy.  Participants will also use their unique Enterprise view to research, develop, and present a cohort-developed proposal to President Boyd at graduation.

Executive Leadership Institute: Team Component

ELI will provide unique and innovative strategies for growing one’s team. An abbreviated version of the NCEL-developed Civility, Respect and Engagement in the Workplace (CREW) training will be presented in two of the six sessions. CREW allows teams to strengthen loyalty to both individuals and the team as a whole, all the while increasing the team’s engagement. Engagement in turn increases productivity.

Executive Leadership Institute: Self Component

Self-development will include three assessments throughout the course of ELI (Working Genius, Strength-Based Leadership and CPI 260). It also includes up to eight coaching sessions (four required), peer mentoring and courses framed around the leadership competencies of executive agility and influence.
